I'm sure that you know the story of 'The Emperor's New Clothes'. It is a Danish folk tale that was written by Hand Christian Anderson, and it is very famous. The story is about an emperor who is tricked by two men pretending to be tailors. In that story, the emperor walks around the town without any clothes and all the people laugh at him.
In The Queen's New Crown I have taken the old story and given it a little twist by changing the clothes for a crown, and the emperor for a queen.
Tweaking and twisting traditional tales can be a lot of fun... why don't you write a new version of your favourite tale.
You could change the characters, or the setting. You could even add new characters or interesting objects.
